The Department of Fisheries and aquaculture aims to train innovative engineers who understand and analyze the structure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems, the biology of aquatic organisms, aquaculture systems, and the technologies involved in the production and processing of aquatic products. The program focuses on the sustainable use of water resources, the management of fish populations, aquaculture practices, water pollution control, the conservation of aquatic ecosystems, the processing and marketing of aquatic products, and the ecological relationships among aquatic organisms. In addition to educational and instructional activities, the department continues to conduct various research projects related to the assessment of the regional fisheries potential, as well as the protection and sustainable use of water resources.
As a department, we aim to provide our students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills, cultivating engineers who are capable of meeting the needs of the sector, who are environmentally conscious, and who adhere to ethical values. We believe that our graduates will assume leading roles in the increasingly important fisheries sector and contribute significantly to the food security of our country.
We would be delighted to welcome you as future fisheries engineers to our department. Join us in the Department of Fisheries and aquaculture to become pioneers of the blue economy.
