Program Outcomes
1) To possess the competence to acquire, analyze, interpret, report, and effectively present data related to aquatic systems by utilizing theoretical and practical knowledge in basic sciences, engineering principles, and fisheries engineering.
2) To gain and effectively apply professional skills in fundamental and advanced topics such as aquatic production, fishing, aquaculture, processing technologies, and resource management.
3) To be proficient in using fundamental and advanced information technologies employed in the fisheries sector (such as data collection systems, software, remote sensing, and water quality monitoring tools).
4) To be aware of and sensitive to issues related to the conservation of aquatic habitats, human health and welfare, environmental sustainability, occupational health and safety, biodiversity, social responsibility, and ethical values.
5) To have advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of the biology, ecology, physiology, and systematics of aquatic organisms.
6) To acquire in-depth knowledge and practical competence in aquaculture, feeding, water quality management, disease control, and sustainable production techniques.
7) To be capable of conducting biological and physicochemical analyses in aquatic and laboratory environments, interpreting findings, and developing research-based solutions.
8) To understand the impacts of abiotic and biotic stress factors—such as climate change, pollution, overfishing, and invasive species—on aquatic ecosystems, and to develop management and remediation strategies to address these issues.
9) To possess knowledge and skills in fish stock monitoring, habitat mapping, fisheries data management, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), numerical modeling, and artificial intelligence–based analytical methods, and to apply these in strategic planning.
10) To generate solutions to fisheries-related problems individually or collaboratively, to take active roles in interdisciplinary projects, and to raise public awareness through effective communication and outreach activities.
