Within the scope of the “Special Call for Earthquake Region Universities – BİNBİRÇABA” projects proposed to the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) – Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB), five projects involving the faculty members of our department as principal investigators and researchers have been approved for support.
We sincerely congratulate Prof. Dr. Memet VAROL and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Erkan ÖZGÜR, who will serve as project leaders, as well as Prof. Dr. Ünal İSPİR (in two projects) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başar ALTINTERİM, who will take part as researchers, along with their respective teams. We wish them continued success in their scientific endeavors.

Project Title: Determination of the sources of metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the water and sediments of the Tigris River using APCS-MLR and PMF receptor models, and assessment of their ecological and health risks.
