We are proud to announce that Prof. Dr. Memet VAROL, a distinguished faculty member of our department, has been included in the “World’s Most Influential Scientists” list, prepared annually by John P. A. Ioannidis of Stanford University and published in the Elsevier database, bringing great honor to our university.
The list encompasses all scientists worldwide with at least five published articles, categorized into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification. Based on an evaluation of qualified scientific publication performance, researchers are ranked in two categories: career-long impact and annual impact.
In this global assessment, Prof. Dr. Memet VAROL, from the Department of Fisheries Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, has achieved the distinction of being listed among the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists in both categories — a remarkable accomplishment that highlights his outstanding contributions to science.
